I was born in Germany in 1958 and had the luck of spending some of my early years in the Canary Islands (Spain). My desire to some day live permanently on those “Fortunate Islands” became reality in 1996 when I decided to move with my daughter to Lanzarote.

Yoga: My first contact with Yoga was in 1983 when I was studying to be a translator. The experience enriched and changed my life. Since then, my fascination for yoga has remained, because Yoga serves as a practical method to maintain health and well being and offers a way to develop awareness.

Practice and Training: After many years practicing Yoga, I took the decision to do a Yoga-teacher-training in Lanzarote in order to be able to transmit my own experience and fascination for the practice

Classes: Since 2002 it is with great pleasure that I give  „Hatha Yoga Meditativo“ in Lanzarote. Both in public and private environments, in Spanish, German and English.  I also offer Yoga and Healing Touch on an individual basis.

My Yoga Path: Along my path in Yoga I have come to know and practice different styles: Shivananda-Yoga, Ashtanga-Yoga, Iyengar-Yoga, Yoga Solar, Yoga der Energie. My greatest inspiration came from Kali Ray, a great master of Hatha Yoga who teaches the Tri Yoga Flows. Since then the style of my classes has become principally oriented towards this fluid style of yoga.

Meditation: My first experience of  Meditation was through the practice of Kriya-Yoga according to Paramahansa Yogananda and the Universal Master  Babaji.  Owing to my contact with Saajid Zandolini I discovered a new understanding of Meditation as a way of life.

The True Self:   Yoga and Meditation  are a path to acknowledge our true selves and to unfold our true potential in life.

This path takes us step by step to:

  •  develop attention to our body, thoughts and emotions.
  •  be able to discard old patterns in order to open ourselves to new experiences.
  • permit that life touches to the depths of our heart.
  • experience inner silence.
  • recognise that as human beings we are unique and that in the essence of our being, we are one.
  • walk the path of life, conscious of ”the Eternal”.

My desire with my work is to accompany others on this path, being at times the part that shows the way and at other times that which learns - for which I take

this opportunity to thank all my students who on occasion become my masters.
